Notes:

• This is an every-name index to the Hendricks County school directories for the years 1894 through 1964. Copies of these school directories are at the Danville Public Library.
• No directory was found at the library for the 1905-1906 school year or 1906-1907 school year; some of the directories for other years are incomplete.
• Beginning with the directories published in the 1950’s, the information for Guilford Township schools was omitted from the directory.
• The information that was included in the school directory varied from year to year—-teachers and other school employees were often included; students were occasionally included.

• Includes – will search for that string of characters. Searching for Berry would yield Berry, Berryman, Millberry, etc.
• Exact – will search for that exact text only. Searching for Berry would yield only Berry.
• Soundex – will search for Soundex equivalents. Searching for Berry would yield Berry, Beery, Biery, etc.
