Obituary for Meredith G. Richwine

MEREDITH G. RICHWINE, age 83, Lebanon, died December 9 in Witham Hospital, there. Services were December 12 in Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, Steve Yeaton officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery, Brownsburg.

A native of Brownsburg, he was born Oct. 24, 1919 the son of Forrest and Claire (Phillips) Richwine.

A farmer in the Brownsburg area for many years, Mr. Richwine owned and operated Richwine General Service comprised of Richwine Grain Elevator, New Holland Bulk Fertilizer Dealership, and Richwine Trucking. He also operated Richwine Auction Service for 22 years. After moving to Lebanon in 1982 he built Mr. R's Restaurant and operated it for 12 years. He retired in 1997.

He was a member of the Indiana Grain Dealers Association, Indiana and National Auctioneers Association, and Moose Lodge #1269.

He is survived by his widow, Lorriane (Shirley) Richwine; two sons, Dean Richwine and Gary Richwine, both of Brownsburg; and two grandsons, Marc and Douglas Richwine; two granddaughters, Jennifer Richwine and Alisa Graves, and one great-grandson, Austin Graves.

Two brothers, Francis Richwine and Robert Richwine; a sister, Phylis Richwine and a grandson, Michael Dean Richwine preceded.
