Obituary for Glen R. "Dudley" Phillips

Services for Glen R. "Dudley" Phillips, 69, Pittsboro, formerly of Brownsburg, will be Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 10 a.m. in the Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg. Rev. David Kovalow-St. John will officiate, with burial in Brownsburg Cemetery. Born June 5, 1923 in Hendricks county, he was the son of Dudley and Edna Garner Phillips. He died Saturday, Nov. 7, in Hendricks Community Hospital, Danville. Mr. Phillips, an Army veteran of World War II, had been a supervisor for Division of Materials and Tests of the Indiana Department of Highways 22 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of Brownsburg American Legion Post. Survivors include sons: Dennis Phillips, Pittsboro, and Eddie Phillips, Brownsburg; daughter Lucinda Rudd, Pittsboro; friend, Genevieve Shady; sisters; Jean Mabbitt, and Joyce Snowball, both of Brownsburg, and Aileen Mills, Tx; brothers; Melvin Phillips, Pittsboro and Merrill Phillips, Independence, Mo; 11 grandchildren.
